Training - Labor Law and Court Practice
The course aims to provide HR managers and specialists, lawyers, and individuals interested in labor relations with practical knowledge of labor law issues based on real-life examples and court practice. Within the framework of the training, participants will discuss the legal grounds for the establishment, suspension, and termination of labor relations, as well as practical recommendations for preventing labor disputes. The course will help participants properly assess legal risks in daily labor relations practice and make effective decisions.

Certificate requirement: Attendance of at least 75% out of the total 10 academic hours.
Training fee: 450 GEL (350 GEL per participant in case of registration of 2 or more participants from the same company)

Day I - May 18 / 20:00-22:00 (2 hours)

- Labor legislation governing employment relationships;
- Key differences between employment and service relationships;
- Pre-contractual stage of employment relations;
- Minimum employment age and labor legal capacity;
- The concept of discrimination in labor relations.
Day II - May 20 / 20:00-22:00 (2 hours)

- Forms and terms of employment contracts;
- Importance of the probation period;
- Essential terms of an employment contract;
- Main principles of internal labor regulations;
- Working hours, break periods, overtime work, and overtime compensation rules;
- Types of internships.
Day III - May 22 / 20:00-22:00 (2 hours)

- Grounds for suspension of employment relationships;
- Grounds for termination of employment relationships
(theoretical aspects will be discussed together with practical examples).
Day IV - May 27 / 20:00-22:00 (2 hours)
Trainer: Ekaterine Gasitashvili
- Burden of proof in labor disputes;
- Labor disputes related to discrimination and the importance of legal presumptions;
- Discrimination in the form of victimization.
Day V - May 29 / 20:00-22:00 (2 hours)
Trainer: Ekaterine Gasitashvili
- Grounds for termination of employment relationships and recent court practice, including important judicial interpretations
(each ground for termination will be discussed based on court practice; participants will analyze the criteria used by courts in assessing dismissals based on gross misconduct, loss of trust toward an employee, and other cases);
- Restrictions on employment with competitors - legislative regulations and important interpretations of the Supreme Court of Georgia.
